Wine and Book Clubs are a Perfect Pairing!

For many book clubs, wine and literature go hand in hand. Sipping a glass of wine while discussing a book can enhance the experience and make the conversation even more enjoyable. Here are some tips for incorporating wine into your next book club meeting:

📚🌍 Choose a Theme: To make your book club meetings even more fun, try choosing a wine theme that relates to the book you're discussing. For example, if you're reading a book set in France, try serving a French wine (like the Domaine Gayda En Passant Rouge 2020). If the book takes place in California, consider serving a California wine (like The Auctioneer Cabernet Sauvignon 2019).

🧀📖 Pair Wine with Snacks: When hosting a book club meeting, it's important to provide some snacks to munch on while discussing the book. Choosing snacks that pair well with wine, such as cheese and crackers or chocolates, can make the wine even more enjoyable.

🍷📖 Try a Blind Tasting: For a fun twist on your book club meeting, try doing a blind wine tasting. Cover the bottles and see if your group can guess which wine they're tasting. This is a great way to learn more about different types of wine and have some fun while discussing the book.

🗣️🍷 Share Recommendations: One of the best things about being in a book club is sharing recommendations with other members. This applies to wine as well! Ask members to bring their favorite bottle of wine to the meeting and share their recommendations with the group. (And if you want to try something new, we recommend the Elderton "E Series" Unoaked Chardonnay 2021 from the Barossa Valley in Australia).

📚🍷 Make It a Tradition: If you find that your book club enjoys the combination of wine and literature, consider making it a tradition. Set a theme for each meeting and choose a wine to pair with it. This is a great way to add some fun and excitement to your book club meetings.
