Badenhorst Raaigras Grenache 2017

From the oldest Grenache vineyard in South Africa, this wine has aromas of wild strawberries, lavender and rose petals. Also with a hint of supple leather and dried cranberries. The palate is very polished and weightless with cool mineral undertones, cloves and wild herbs. The finish is long and silky. A tip top old vine Grenache!
Pairs well with roasted meats and vegetables especially with exotic spices. Seared duck and fig salad, Asian slow-braised beef and white rice, eggplant and tomatoes with pine nuts, caramelized scallops, ratatouille, roast pumpkin and feta tarts, roast cauliflower with bacon and pork belly with polenta.
