Gusbourne Brut wine is a deep gold color, with a delicate mousse and persistent aromas of honeyed green apples with hints of ripe lemon, white peach and toasted brazil nuts. Fruit leads on the palate, with red apples, poached pears and bright red berry fruit. This complex sparkling wine also displays subtle flavors of peach and developed toasty notes of freshly baked bread, roasted nuts and apple pie before a long, fresh, elegant and rounded finish.
While this dry bubbly wine is a magnificent partner for contemporary and classic English foods (ie; seared scallops, smoked eels, and even fish and chips) it is flexible enough to be enjoyed with other delicious cuisine. Most seafood, brioche bread, Brie or Parmesan cheeses, and mushroom dishes are also excellent with this sparkling wine.
